Pest Defence: Menu Overhaul

A menu overhaul task to improve UX completed during my contract with Adtrak. One of the few projects using traditional WordPress architecture.

A well established website, it required a menu overhaul as the vertical menus had become too long over time.
 
The work entailed changing vertically oriented menus such as the main navigation drop-down and full-menu overlay into mega-menu style columns.
 
This was achieved by creating a custom nav walker class and template for the theme, to override default behaviour.
 
An additional task was to add in a custom icon set for menu items created by the design team at Adtrak.
